Today was a good day to take family portraits. We did two babies, one about 2 years old and one 4 months. It’s always a joy for us here at K.C. Photography to capture these precious babies at these unforgettable ages. I can remember when I first started out shooting family portraits with kids, it wasn’t my favorite task. I’ve grown to learn how to cope with and handle babies of all ages. Recently, since I have a new baby myself (36 months), my patience with kids has increased tremendously. I enjoy shooting portraits of all my clients but I’ve grown to enjoy my babies more. One of the keys to shooting family portraits, children portraits & newborns is to be as animated as possible. Kids love when you jump and around and play with them. Sometimes it’s not an easy task but our 20-year experience of dealing with Children / Family Portraits has given us the patience we need to capture that natural smile all parents (especially moms) are looking for.
A smile is always good to capture, but the child natural response is just as beautiful. Some children give you a natural look which is always beautiful. We have learned if we can keep the child’s attention, and keep them from crying, we have done a successful shoot.
Our studio is set up with toys and props to allows us to keep your child’s attention during his or her photo session. In-studio, photography is great because we can control the environment to create those priceless moments.
If the child is ready, an outdoor shoot is great too. To capture your children in a park or on the playground make perfect memories for at those adorable ages. Capturing children at off-guard moments are pure and priceless.
Nowadays I am sure most parents think they can get these moments on the camera phone. The camera phone does have its place but when taking family / children portraits it is a great idea to let the professional do it. Here at K.C. Photography we promise professional service and a quality product.
